Qurban

Qurban (also known as Udhiya) is an act of worship performed by sacrificing livestock such as goats, cows, or camels as a form of obedience to Allah (SWT). Qurban is carried out on Eid al-Adha and during the days of Tashreeq (the 11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah). The sacrificial animal must meet certain criteria, such as being of sufficient age, healthy, and free from defects. The meat from qurban is distributed to three groups: oneself and one's family, relatives and neighbors, and the poor and needy. Qurban holds great spiritual significance as an expression of gratitude to Allah (SWT) for His blessings and as an act of social responsibility towards those in need.
